Alexandra “Serenity” Harris, Esq.
Founder of Serenity at Law Pllc
Your Personal Business & Family Attorney
Education & Training
I hold a Juris Doctor from Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law, where I served as a Contract Law Teaching Assistant, founded the Drexel chapter of Mindfulness in the Law Society, co-chaired Law and Philosophy Society and completed a Community Lawyering Clinic — drafting wills, handling tangled title matters to its end of successful deed transfers, and navigating estate and property law for underserved Philadelphians.
My undergraduate degree in Anthropology, earned Magna Cum Laude from Howard University, gave me a lens for seeing culture, family, and community behind the lives we live and legacies we build.
Before founding this firm, I spent years in nonprofit and legal advocacy — representing tenants facing eviction, providing pro bono estate planning and real estate services, and leading mediation and restorative justice programs that helped individuals and families navigate some of the most difficult conflicts of their lives, including inheritance and elder care disputes.
Mediation, Circle Keeping & Death Doula Practice
I am a trained facilitator, certified in mediation through the Pennsylvania Council of Mediators and in restorative justice practices. My approach draws on every role I carry: attorney, death doula, mediator, facilitator, and circle-keeper — all in service of helping you plan with your legacy goals as the guide.
Approach & Mission
At Serenity at Law, I work with individuals, families, and small businesses to prevent family conflict, protect assets, and preserve legacy by planning for continuity of your goals.
I will work together with you to prioritize your goals, whether that is asset protection, tax planning, caring for someone with special needs, stewarding wealth for the next generation, meeting your religious obligations, preserving the practical livelihood of your loved ones, business succession planning, or all of the above! Sometimes these goals can be in tension. It’s my mission to tailor a precise and effective plan with legal acumen, creativity and collaboration with you and your closest advisors.
Ultimately, beyond the documents, I also counsel clients to consider the full scope of their legacy — not only financial and material, but intellectual and spiritual. This work begins with a simple question — what do you want your life to mean after you are gone?
Memorial Dedication
For Jeffrey W. Harris
The public launch date of this site is March 1, 2024 — coincidentally, the same day my father passed away in 2008. This website, and any benefit from it, is dedicated to my dearly beloved father, Jeffrey W. Harris.
